Yami Gautam was born on November 28, 1988 to Mukesh Gautam and Anjali Gautam in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. She completed her schooling and then joined college for pursuing degree in law honours. Yami had aspired to join Indian Administrative Services (IAS) when she was young. She has done her part time graduation from Mumbai. Yami is also fond of reading, interior decoration and listening music. She also loves to go street shopping like any other common girl. She said, "I am a regular girl who loves shopping from showrooms and I also like picking up things from streets. I think that's what an average girl likes to do."
Family
Yami Gautam's father, Mukesh Gautam works for channel Zee News as coordinator and mother, Anjali Gautam is a home maker. She has one younger sister Surilie Gautam, who also started her acting career at the age of 17.
Career/Early Life
At the age of 20, Yami decided to start her acting career and left studies. Then she moved to Mumbai and pursued her career in acting. She made her television debut with "Chand Ke Paar Chalo" and later participated in the reality shows Meethi Choori No.1 and Kitchen Champion Season 1. Recently, she was seen in the Bollywood flick Total Siyappa.
